"Do I make you nervous, corporal?" he asked softly.
She glanced at him in surprise. "No sir!" she said quickly, but she didn’t sound convincing even to herself.
"Well you seem nervous, you're shaking like crazy. I don't bite, Jordan, I promise," he said, a smile curving his lips.
The mental image flashing through her mind of his mouth and teeth on her skin biting and sucking was so vivid that without thinking she laughed.
"Oh, I doubt that, sir." She gasped and glanced up at him, horrified. Her little slip didn't seem to faze him; in fact, he was smiling at her. Anna smiled back.
He cleared his throat, "Jordan, you know I shouldn't say this, that we shouldn't get into this, but you're freezing, I'm freezing, and it is only going to get colder. We need to stay warm. Question is, what do we want to do about that?" She thought about that question for all of two seconds. His meaning was crystal clear and frankly, she couldn't think of a better way to heat things up.
